Adventure in Tokyo

Itinerary Summary

    Day 1 – Arrival in Japan

    After being welcomed by our private guide, you will travel to your accommodation in Tokyo by private vehicle. Settle in, adjust to your new environment and get ready for your upcoming adventures.

    Night in Tokyo

    Inclusions: Accommodation, Breakfast, Private Guide, Transportation and Fees.

    Day 2 – Cycling tour and Sightseeing Tokyo

    Today is your first full day visiting Tokyo and you will start with a visit to Asakusa, one of the last remaining traditional districts in Tokyo. The area is anchored by the famous Sensoji Temple. Tour the temples and traditional streets in the area, before taking a break for lunch.

    After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the nearby Sumida River to Odaiba Island. From Odaiba island, depart for a cycling tour encompassing Odaiba Sea Park, the world-famous Tsukiji Fish Market, the Imperial Palace and the Tsukijima area, which still bears remnants of old Tokyo. While there, maybe even sample a delicious ‘monjayaki’ pancake.

    The tour ends at Odaiba. Evening at your leisure.

    Day 3 – Day trip to Hakone (Mt. Fuji)

    Today, you will enjoy a day trip outside Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area. After a Bullet train ride, you will arrive in the hot springs town of Hakone. A fun way to explore Hakone is along its famous sightseeing loop, which traverses this beautifully scenic region via the Hakone Tozan Railway (the oldest mountain train in Japan), a funicular railway, the Hakone Ropeway (a gondola offering panoramic views) and a scenic cruise across Lake Ashi. The tour will finish at your accommodation in Tokyo.

    Day 4 – Sumo training, Karaoke and Electric Tokyo.

    Let’s start this fun day with a Japanese lunch box pic-nic at Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo’s largest and most popular parks.

    After lunch, head to the Sumo stable and experience an exciting Sumo training session. Once finished, return to Shinjuku in time for dinner.

    In the evening, sing your heart out at a private party in one of Tokyo’s famous Karaoke box parlours.

    Day 5 – Japanese Drumming Lesson and Shibuya District.

    Shibuya is a popular shopping and entertainment area that attracts many young Japanese. The Shibuya Crossing in front of Shibuya Station has at least 2,000 people cross it every time the light turns green, and it always makes a great photo op. Then, visit the largest Shrine in Tokyo: Meiji Shrine and Tokyo’s most fashionable district: Harajuku. In the afternoon, partake in a traditional Wadaiko drumming lesson. The evening will be free at your leisure.

    Day 6 – Departure.

    You’ll be free until departure.
    Depending on your flight departure, you may have time for some last-minute explorations and eating! You will then be picked up at your accommodation for the private transfer to your departure airport.
